Aeterno: Planar Rift
The quiet agrarian centre of Aeterno. Once a quiet cobblestone village built around an imposing stone church. The idyllic valley surrounding the people offered them plentiful fruits and game for a growing economy and populace. As the clans living in White Plain grew, certain families went out to find sites more specific to their needs. The central location and peaceful meadow-filled valley lacked any natural resources for weapons or spells and those families inclined ventured out from White Plain to find their chosen home. As such, White Plain is widely believed to be the oldest city in Aeterno, and excluding elven cities and several anomalies, they would be right. The prevalence of this lie displays the arrogance of the human people who used to rule this vast area.
Once The Argent Reformists found their scroll however, The Shattering changed the world inexorably. Though White Plain was not destroyed nor directly modified, it was the growing unrest in the Outersphere that changed the Aeternian capitol. Amaranth rose up as if by magic, the growing angel and lawful population that escaped their home planes needed a base of operations for the mounting war against all comers. White Plain’s glory was thus stolen and dashed, now a foothold for a more glorious nation, one that balloons up from the church steeple, where impatient angel bureaucrats grant entry to the lucky few they deems harmless.
